What we do with your details

Plain English, because a privacy note nobody can read protects nobody. This covers the enquiry form on this site.

ROMEL LTD · the SpecRoom pilot enquiry form

What we collect

Only what you type into the “Request a pilot” form — your name, work email, and optionally your company, an idea of your library size, and a short message. We also record the date and your IP address, to tell a real enquiry from spam.

Why we hold it

To reply to you about a SpecRoom pilot, and nothing else. Under UK GDPR the lawful basis is your consent, which is why the form asks you to tick a box. There is no marketing list, no analytics profile, and no automated decision made about you.

Where it lives, and who can see it

It is stored on SpecRoom’s own server (hosted on Fly.io, in London), on an owner-only file. It is never shown back on any web page.
Only ROMEL LTD reads it. We do not sell it, share it, or pass it to advertisers.
Fly.io hosts the infrastructure as our processor, under a data-processing agreement. That is the only third party involved.

How long we keep it

An enquiry is a lead, not a permanent record. We automatically delete anything older than 12 months. If we haven’t become useful to each other by then, your details age out on their own.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it at any time — and we’ll do it. Email hello@specroom.io. If you’re in the UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can also complain to the ICO.
